Fashion Show: Faye and Ewan in Sea Apple

New Beginnings! The children were given their first opportunity to strut the runway for Sea Apple's 2017 Chinese New Year Collection at Motherswork! Ever since Sea Apple was born [in 2016], I had always dressed the children in Su Mei's designs to usher in the first day of the New Year. Sea Apple hardly tap on the first-mover advantage when it comes to CNY clothes launch and yet, they never quite lose out in getting a fair share of the Singapore market. Just like me, many do wait loyally for Sea Apple to launch their Chinese New Year series because they never ever disappoint!

Back in 2016, there were no little man clothes in the shop. Su Mei heard many of us pleading her to design shirts for our sons and there she burnt many midnight oils to bring moms of boys handsome clothes too. Clothes that had lots of potential to twin with their sisters [and brothers]!

We were planning a family photoshoot and I will never forget the compliment Meyer passed when I sent him the link to Sea Apple Shop to choose a dress and shirt for Faye and Ewan respectively, "They are very nice! Are there no shirts for daddies?"

I was nervous about the fashion show. It is after all the children's first feels of the runway. Whatever it is, I didn't want them to spoil the show for Motherswork or Su Mei. Thankfully, we were reminded to just kick back and enjoy. If the kids were going to walk down the makeshift stage with a candy floss in their hands, so be it!

It was a party when we arrived at Motherswork! Ewan and Faye gorged themselves crazy with delicious desserts put together by TwentySeven by Rachel, joined in the face-painting session and played with toys until it was time for them to go.

Ewan held one of the most important jobs during the walk! He was given Sea Apple Shop's branding board to hold! Oh I am so glad he did a great job, holding Faye's hand along the way to guide her through and remembering to stop halfway just to give a little pose. Oh my little 30 month old daughter had her fist in her mouth the whole time! *hahah* Adorable in her own way!

It is a successful and enjoyable show showcasing local brands like The Elly Store, Maison Q and Leia + Lauren. All thanks to Sharon, founder of Motherswork, who gave these local designers an opportunity to shine!

So so so thankful for my cousin for turning up out of the blue at this evening's runway show as well! Without her, I would have strangled myself for having to juggle kids especially dirty kids with chocolate all over their mouths eating TwentySeven by Rachel amazing cookies. She helped to carry their water bottles and change of clothes, and of course pleading them to rehearse [did I just spell Rehearsal wrongly in the clip? Oh man!] before the real thing! Oh I'm just Super Glad they enjoyed themselves especially Ewan who went crazy entertaining the crowd with his amusing antics. Their First Runway!
