Gypsie Turns Two

HAPPY SECOND BARKDAY GYPSIE!

Before we had her, we were told we needed to think twice, thrice and maybe don’t even think about it at all! Because having a furkid is a commitment you can never retract. What if we decided we cannot handle another kid? What if we want to give her up halfway through her life?

Oh man. Never gonna give her up!

I could not sleep the night before Ewan's birthday and I could not sleep the night before Faye's birthday. Who would have thought? I couldn't sleep the night before Gypsie's birthday too. I found myself off my bed and onto the floor next to Gypety at 1am in the morning just to hold her in a mom and dot embrace.

Two years on, I fear her getting older because it meant we are a step closer to losing her. When we leave her alone at home for a full ten hours, we would rush back and think how we can compensate family time back to her. To go on a family overseas trip without her would be our very first BIG step and till now, we still haven't been able to take that leap. I believe we will all feel the guilt before we board our plane!

This year's birthday cake is inspired by our childhood favourite snack - The Gem Biscuit. Knibbles slotted our order in even though they were full and we were all thankful for it. A BIG Thank You to furSista Pearlly for this birthday gift for the furballs! It was a good call to eventually have a cake because what's a birthday without it? I requested for all eight pups in this litter to be crafted and had them hung around their one kilogram gem biscuit made of potato and pork! Awww they look adorable!

We celebrated with this litter of Irish furBros and furSistas today over lunch at Singapore Polo Club. It’s amazing how we were able to reunite them puppies in Singapore and continue to maintain a good relationship among the pawrents. Anything for our furBabies to remember their family and have them close.

With this, the birthday season for The Yangs IS OVER!

Until next year…

Mommy May signing out.
