DISCOUNT CODE: Say Hi to hifold!
From mifold to hifold! The amazing development team has given portable booster seats one more evolving oomph! Still, we aren't saying that our mifold Grab-And-Go booster seats are ready for retirement. They are not. We are still using them for our taxi and Grab car rides. So that's still a necessity! We have, however, moved Ewan out of his regular harnessed child seat and into the hifold Fit-and-Fold booster seat.
Faye? At only 105cm tall, we are still locking her in Britax.
When I shared about hifold with my husband, he couldn't stop nodding in agreement that we should transition Ewan into it. It is an adjustable high back booster with over 243 individual settings in four adjustable zones across the head, torso, thighs and height. Oh gosh that sounds like a lot of possible arrangements to fit the seat to a child! To be honest, I don't know where the 200-over individual settings are *haha* but it really does it says it does. It offers a highly customisable fit that provides optimum comfort to suit Ewan's physique. When he does doze off during our car ride, he gets to nap safely and comfortably.
The hifold relies on the existing three-point seatbelt to secure Ewan in and because of its simplicity in usage, he can easily buckle himself in without our help.
Weighing only 4.5kg, the lightweight design folds down to three times smaller than a normal high-back booster. Perfect car seat solution for families who own their own car but do not want a bulky car seat permanently occupying a seat.
When you fold the booster seat down, it goes to a minimum size of width 344mm x height 250mm x length 344mm like a diaper bag. When unfolded and expanded, it measures a maximum of 480mm x height 755mm x length 397mm.
Although it meets Europe and US safety standards, approval from Australia is still work in progress. This, I personally feel I have to highlight because Singaporeans travel to Australia so much! It is important to get an update status on hifold's certification before you make your trip to Australia.
From what age can my child use a hifold?
All children should continue to use a car seat with a five-point harness for as long as possible. Only when they have outgrown the height and weight limit of their current five-point harness car seat and when they can sit in the booster seat properly (without slouching under the lap belt, moving the shoulder belt under the arm or behind the back, leaning forward or sideways or moving out of position) so the vehicle belt remains properly positioned for the entire duration of each journey should caregivers consider moving children on to a hifold.
What height and weight range should my child be in to safely use the hifold?
The hifold fits a child of 15-45kg; 90cm to 150cm height who is also a minimum of four years old.
Are the hifold seat covers removable and washable?
The hifold seat covers can be wiped down for spot cleaning and can be removed and machine washed if necessary.
Is the hifold difficult to set-up?
The revolutionary design of the hifold means that is can be set up in under 10 seconds, making it ideal for families on-the-go. It also folds down in five steps for storage.
Does the hifold recline?
While the hifold seat back is designed to adjust slightly to fit different vehicle seat back angles, the hifold seat itself does not have a recline feature.
Does the hifold use a LATCH or ISOfix system?
The hifold is a high-back booster seat that uses the vehicle installed adult seat belt to restrain the child and to hold the seat in place. It does not use a LATCH or Isofix systems.

It is without a doubt doubt that when Faye outgrows her five-point harness car seat, we will have her transitioned into a hifold!
