Our Friso Experience More Together Moment II
What do you see or hear whenever you hit the pool? Happy faces and hearty squeals! Our children love the waters and swimming has become one of our favourite weekend happenings.
We brought Ewan swimming at five months old and he showed no signs of fear, reservations or anxiety. There will always be a happy smile and a pair of eyes that sparkle. We would sit him on the ledge and without a care in the world, my baby boy would slip off the edge and plonk himself into the water below him. That was his kind of fun. The moment he could walk, he took the pool with confidence - running and jumping into our arms, making big splashes everywhere. #FrisoMoment
Whereas Faye was quite a skeptic. She was six months old when we first brought her and totally cautious. She clawed daddy rather tightly then. We could hardly get a smile on her face! It took us 4 visits to the pool before she started enjoying herself. I guess the coldness of the water and vastness of her surroundings made her feel insecure. I'd like to credit her warming up to our swimming sessions to big brother Ewan. His infectious laughter and refreshing candour towards the waters influenced her. He made her felt safe and gave her the confidence that swimming can be so much fun!
As parents, we naturally get pulled into the joyfulness our children exude. We love watching ourselves having so much fun together in the pool! #FrisoMoment
Memories such as these need to be captured. However, our DSLR is not capable of reviving itself should it accidentally fall to the bottom of the pool. It also isn't the first time my iPhone went totally dead from swimming misadventures. What we needed for photography in harsh conditions is a GoPro Hero!
The HERO camera is built directly into a rugged housing that is waterproof to 40m. It is designed to withstand dirt, sand, water and nearly anything else you can throw at it. It can take stills and motion (like the above video clip), without a worry of any form of damage. Being able to capture momentous experiences as a family over swim or biking sessions made me the happiest mommy ever. My family photo album is now filled with pictures that scream ADVENTURE!
Underwater pictures of the children are most precious. It is not your kind of every day photographs and the expressions captured can be one really funny to reminisce when we grow old. Just like these ones on puffy chubby chipmunk cheeks Faye and "I Am Swimming Mom!" Ewan!
